✎  ABOUT ME

Hello!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my site. I just wanted to give you a quick introduction on what I get up to.

Well, to say I'm extremely enthusiastic about tech and creative stuff, is an understatement. I'm always looking for ways to contribute to the Microsoft community, build successful business solutions and just ‘create’ in general. I have an innate...INNATE passion for all things Microsoft related, digital, UX/UI, and graphic design, researching, writing, and drawing.

That's a lot of passions huh...well THAT is why I have this portfolio site, so that I can release it all from my cluttered brain and store it on a beautiful platform for you all to see.

'Living the tech’, networking as much as I can, and helping others find people that can inspire, teach and be role models for them, is what I fill my spare time with.

I just love it. And if I can inspire some people myself along the way, then I'm doing something right.

SPPUG: Back to Full Power

Recording of Scottish Power Platform User Group: Back to Full Power Taking advantage of the wider Microsoft Cloud ecosystem when building with Low Code with Lewis Baybutt and Chris Huntingford: In this session, Lewis and Chris will take a deep dive into the Microsoft Cloud ecosystem, highlighting the power that can be harnessed from contextual data when building with low code platforms such as the Power Platform. This session will cover both architectural and technical aspects with us looking at different types of solutions built using Low Code platforms, as well as us taking a dive into the world of Microsoft Graph and contextual data. Want to learn how to build solutions with better user experience, and impact for your people? Join us for a bunch of ecosystem fun and ideation, with a technical edge diving into Microsoft Graph! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PowerPoint to PowerApps - Tips and Tricks with Laura Webb: PowerPoint is generally thought of as the platform to use when you have to sort out a presentation... and that's totally right... however... You can also use it to... ✏ Design SVG graphics *Formatting *Designing graphics *Altering images *Altering icons *Altering fonts *Creating a responsive background for a canvas app. ✏ Create Wireframes *Creating wireframes *Brainstorming UI and UX ideas *Creating apps directly from the wireframes. ✏ Create Documentation *Live docs *Interactive idea workshops *Guidance packs And we get it free with our Microsoft 365 licenses!! Laura also uses PowerPoint to design canvas apps, blog images, templates, and Tech Trump Cards. She would love to share what she has learned with others, and maybe change people's minds about PowerPoint forever. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Getting Started with a Power Platform Strategy with Hamish Shield: By 2025, Gartner predicts that 70% of applications will use low code or no code technology. A Forrester study of organisations using the Power Platform successfully has found a 502% ROI over 3 years. These are incredible numbers... but to be realised you need a solid low-code strategy! In this session Hamish will discuss how to get started defining a low code strategy based on the Microsoft Power Platform, a will demonstrate (with audience participation) a framework that you can use to define a Power Platform strategy and identify the capabilities and systems that organisations need to successfully execute.

Day 5 - Christmas Tech Trump Card Collection with Laura Webb

After having a random urge to purchase a pack of Top Trump cards a while back, I then came up with the legendary idea of making TECH TRUMP cards!! I have been releasing blog posts containing these cards and mini-interviews alongside for a little while now and thought - wouldn't it be fab to do these for the Festive Tech Calendar event. So I'm doing a Christmas collection! *These are not to bring up competition between those in the community* These are to help others discover people in the community that maybe their clicks haven't handed landed on yet, to help inspire, network, find role models, mentors, experts in the field they are growing in, or even just new besties. I've also merged the top trumps game with collectable cards and so the idea is to 'save' the cards, (save the posts) and collect them all! The stats are purely for fun. This isn't a talk or session, more of a fun activity, although a small time slot can be kept to encourage people to join in if needed. Otherwise, it's a matter of advertising the activity, which is fine too. There is a form to complete that takes about 11-15 minutes. Participants would need (not urgent if not) their LinkedIn URL and to be ready to answer some mini-interview questions. The answers will be shared with the public/community/LinkedIn, so everyone needs to be ok with what they're sharing. There will be a submission period, deadline for the submissions and another date for the release of the cards and content.
