Hey Liam, so tell me…
What's a typical day look like for you?
School run, eat bread, comb bread out of my beard, drink coffee and try not to spill it on my beard, licensing, school run, dinner, Netflix, guitar, bed.
What is your favourite power platform feature and why?
Power Virtual Agents is amazing. I used to have a great Omni Channel and PVA pitch but I forgot the password and it took ages to set up… if anyone can send me a config pack 😊
What do you love most about working in this industry?
I was always a bit crap at school and never realised I wanted to learn stuff until I got here. Now I want to learn about everything, and the best thing is that it’s encouraged. There are loads of mature learners here and it’s great.
How did you get into the tech industry?
Totally by fluke. Shared a regular smoking break with an amazing guy who had some faith in me. I was about to get sacked from a marketing company and he gave me a job. Forever grateful to him. He has passed now but it was all down to him really.
What single bit of advice would you give a newbie to the industry?
Learn what an entity is 😊
If you had an autobiography, what would you title it?
Plastic Paddy and his Plastic Strings (I’m half Irish and play a nylon string guitar😊)
Name one hobby or other interest you have outside of tech?
Sea Swimming
Name one thing that you would like to have achieved within the next 5 years.
I want to be a BC or Power Platform Solutions architect. Just need someone to hold my hand. I also want to make more appearances at Hackathons. And I also want a Gibson Wes Montgomery L5-CES.
Do you have any role models within the industry? If so, could you name a few?
If I name anyone I actually know I’d feel embarrassed so I’ll go for Brian Knight from Pragmatic Works. His YouTube videos have literally taught me all I know
Great answers, thanks Liam!!
